Should
I Use MD Forte Facial Cream, Facial Lotion or Skin Rejuvenation Lotion? By Peter T. Pacik, M.D., F.A.C.S. There are several factors to consider when making the choice between using Facial Cream, Facial Lotion or Skin Rejuvenation Lotion. One factor to consider is the thickness of the base and how the product will be used. Due to the thicker base of a cream, it tends to offer more moisturization than a lotion. Therefore, creams are often preferred in colder, drier climates. Warm or hot climates, on the other hand, are more suitable for lotions. Lotions by nature are thinner and generally offer better compatibility with makeup or sunscreen. So if you plan to apply the products in the morning and then apply makeup, you may consider a lotion. Many people prefer to apply lotions in the morning and creams before going to bed. Facial Cream recommended for dry and normal skin. It is a glycolic acid product in an elegant, creamy base. Facial Cream is offered in three strengths -- 15%, 20% or 30% glycolic compound. Facial Lotion recommended for normal, oily and problem prone skin. It is alcohol-free, oil-free and fragrance free in 15% and 20% concentrations. Skin Rejuvenation Lotion recommended for dry and normal skin. It combines glycolic acid with Vitamins A and E in a smooth, silky base in 5% or 20% concentrations. Vitamin A works to repair the skin and build the dermis, while Vitamin E is an antioxidant. The last factor to consider is your own personal preference. Most often the decision to use a cream or lotion is dependent on the texture that you prefer. Although each product offers distinct features and benefits, you must be happy with how the product feels on your skin and fits into your lifestyle. By using the products you are most comfortable with, you will enjoy the benefits of healthier, younger looking skin.
