VIVITE is the newest skincare introduction by Allergan Medical, makers of physician-only skincare treatments MD Forte, Prevage MD and the anti-aging prescription Avage as well as Botox. VIVITE skin care exfoliates, hydrates, and protects. 

Exfoliation is important in removing non-productive cells from the skin’s outer layer to reveal healthy, new skin. For exfoliation, VIVITE contains powerful glycolic compound, as well as exfoliating microbeads.

Hydration is important in keeping skin smooth. For hydration, VIVITE contains effective moisturizers.

Antioxidant protection is important in keeping skin from aging prematurely due to attack from free radicals present in environmental stressors. For antioxidant protection, VIVITE skin care contains botanicals that stop free radicals from attacking your skin.

What products are in the VIVITE routine?

VIVITE Exfoliating Cleanser dissolves skin build-up with both chemical and mechanical exfoliation and contains exfoliating microbeads to more completely remove unproductive skin and allows new skin to flourish. VIVITE Exfoliating Facial Cleanser loosens the unproductive top layer of skin so you can scrub it away and reveal fresh, new skin. Contains 15% glycolic compound. To be used 2 to 3 times a week.

VIVITE Daily Antioxidant Facial Serum moisturizes and extends exfoliation to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as well as provides antioxidant protection. VIVITE Daily Antioxidant Facial Serum is a regular application of glycolics for hydration and renovation of the top skin layer. Also provides antioxidant protection to fight premature aging. Contains 15% glycolic compound as well as green tea, pomegranate and licorice -- all noted for their natural antioxidant properties -- as well as chamomile and aloe to smooth and soften skin. To be used once daily, every morning. Perfect under makeup.

VIVITE Night Renewal Cream is an extra-rich formulation that promotes overnight maintenance and repair of skin tissues. Contains 20% glycolic compound as well as Vitamin C and Vitamine E. Also contains superoxide dismutase (SOD), an advanced antioxidant for effective topical protection against scavenging free radicals. To be used once daily, in the evening.

VIVITE Revitalizing Eye Cream is specially formulated to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and dark circles in the sensitive areas around the eye, as well as minimize the appearance of dark circles. Contains 10% glycolic compound in addition to caffeine to reduce puffiness and inflammation, peptides to tighten skin and interference pearls that reflect and diffuse light, improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as dark circles under the eyes. To be used twice daily, morning and evening.

Note: Products can also be used individually. Use an SPF 15 or greater sunscreen to prevent an increase in sun sensitivity.

VIVITE combines 10% to 20% glycolic concentrations with antioxidants to promote moisture and stimulate collagen production. Glycolic acids, also known as one of the alpha hydroxy acids or AHAs, have been shown to improve the look and feel of the skin on your face and body. AHAs have been the most successful ingredients in the history of cosmetics, and have been used since the days of Cleopatra. Glycolic acid is believed to be the most effective AHA because of its small molecular size for greater skin penetration. It is partially neutralized so irritation is minimized. The VIVITE skin care routine is also rich in botanicals including olive leaf extract, pomegranate, and green tea for natural antioxidant protection; aloe, chamomile, and wild mango butter for hydration; and licorice to reduce hyperpigmentation. The ingredient list also includes antioxidant vitamins C and E, as well as caffeine to reduce puffiness and inflammation. There are advanced ingredients in the VIVITE skin care formulations: superoxide dismutase (SOD) to provide antioxidant protection and neutralize free radicals, peptides to tighten skin, microbeads to enhance exfoliation, and interference pearls to reflect and diffuse light as well as minimize the appearance of dark circles under the eyes.

While the glycolic strength is high, the antioxidants are gentle -- even sensitive skin types will benefit. The most visible effects of Vivité is improved hydration and smoother skin texture, all without harsh chemicals. It is non-greasy and absorbs well and smells great.

Clinical Study
A clinical study of the VIVITE skin care routine was conducted with 22 women between ages 35 and 55 showing the effects of mild to moderate photodamage (rough, dry facial skin; fine lines; and wrinkles). They followed the study regimen for 3 weeks. The results after just 3 weeks:

• 22% reduction in fine lines and wrinkles
• 36% increase in skin hydration/moisture content
• 54% improvement in skin smoothness
• 65% decrease in dryness
