Obagi Nu-Derm Sunfader SPF 15 is formulated with 4% hydroquinone and a safe chemical sunscreen. Obagi Nu-Derm Sunfader SPF 15 protects skin from ultraviolet damage while inhibiting pigment cell production that causes dark patches. This formula is perfect for people with pigmentation problems.
Obagi Sunfader protects skin from ultraviolet damage while lightening freckles and age and liver spots.
Directions: Step 6 of the Obagi Nu-Derm Regimen. Obagi Nu-Derm Sunfader SPF 15 should be applied after the application of either Exfoderm or Exfoderm Forte. Apply Obagi Nu-Derm Sunfader SPF 15 before Healthy Skin Protection SPF 35.
Always avoid prolonged direct sun exposure. Remember to practice sun protection daily.
While following your Obagi Nu-Derm skin care protocol, your skin will be especially sensitive to sun exposure. To protect your skin, you must use one of the specially formulated Obagi Nu-Derm sunscreen products, with more protection across the entire UV spectrum than any other major product line. Meanwhile, when out in the sun for an extended period, wear a sun hat that has a wide brim to shade your face and neck. Reapply sun protection every few hours. Use Obagi Nu-Derm Physical UV Block SPF 32 when doing activities that expose you to sun glare or cause perspiration.

Ingredients
Contains 4% Hydroquinone in a base of water, glycerin, cetyl alcohol, PPG-2 myristyl ether propionate, sodium lauryl sulfate, TEA-salicylate, lactic acid, phenyl trimethicone, tocopheryl acetate, sodium metabisulfite, ascorbic acid, methylparaben, Complex 272ยจ (saponins), disodium EDTA, BHT, propylparaben.
Caution: Some skincare products that contain hydroquinoine may also contain the preservative sodium metabisulfite, a sulfite that may cause serious allergic type reactions (e.g., hives, itching, wheezing, anaphylaxis severe asthma attacks) in certain susceptible persons.
Pregnancy and Nursing Advisory
In an effort to avoid injury to the developing baby, most skin care topicals have not been clinically tested on pregnant or nursing women; therefore, we advise that they not be used. Products containing benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid,hydroquinoine and tretinoin or similar topicals such as products containing retinol should NOT be used when pregnant or nursing. You should also discontinue the use of skin care products containing these ingredients for at least one month before contemplating pregnancy. If in doubt, please refer to the product insert for further information and consult with your physician.
Excessive Redness Advisory
At times, the application of too much hydroquinoine can cause the skin to become excessively red. If this occurs, decrease the frequency of using topicals such as Clear and Blender or omit altogether for a few days.
Reaction Advisory
What to do if you are having a reaction:
Any topical can react adversely with the skin. If you are having a reaction to a topical, please discontinue ALL topicals and apply a 1% hydrocortisone cream (available over the counter) or Obagi NuDerm Tolereen which contains a 1% hydrocortisone. Call us for further advice.
