The Obagi Nu-Derm Advanced Skin Care System is designed to restore health to sun and smoke damaged skin, as well as even out pigmentary problems involving the face and other areas of the body. The Obagi Nu-Derm system corrects surface discoloration and blemishes. It also penetrates into the skin to stimulate skin cell renewal, improve circulation and help rebuild collagen. The normal barrier function of the skin is restored, making the skin less sensitive and better able to hydrate properly.

The Obagi Nu-Derm Gentle Cleanser Starter kit contain all the products in the Obagi Nu-Derm system of Skin Health Restoration. This is the initial set of products you need to be on your way to clearer, healthier, younger looking skin.
It is strongly recommended that tretinoin (Retin-A) or retinaldehyde (Retrinal) be used with the Obagi Nu-Derm Advanced Skin Care System.
It is also recommended that you also purchase the Obagi ELASTIderm Eye Gel or Obagi ELASTIderm Eye Cream which is used to soothe and protect the sensitive eye area. Two additional products, Obagi Nu-Derm Action and Obagi Nu-Derm Tolereen, can also be purchased separately to help control irritation, sensitivity and dryness.
Also available: Obagi Nu-Derm Foaming Gel Starter Kit for Normal to Oily, less sensitive skin types.

Caution: Some skincare products that contain hydroquinoine may also contain the preservative sodium metabisulfite, a sulfite that may cause serious allergic type reactions (e.g., hives, itching, wheezing, anaphylaxis severe asthma attacks) in certain susceptible persons.
Pregnancy and Nursing Advisory
In an effort to avoid injury to the developing baby, most skin care topicals have not been clinically tested on pregnant or nursing women; therefore, we advise that they not be used. Products containing benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid,hydroquinoine and tretinoin or similar topicals such as products containing retinol should NOT be used when pregnant or nursing. You should also discontinue the use of skin care products containing these ingredients for at least one month before contemplating pregnancy. If in doubt, please refer to the product insert for further information and consult with your physician.
Excessive Redness Advisory
At times, the application of too much hydroquinoine can cause the skin to become excessively red. If this occurs, decrease the frequency of using topicals such as Clear and Blender or omit altogether for a few days.
Reaction Advisory
What to do if you are having a reaction:
Any topical can react adversely with the skin. If you are having a reaction to a topical, please discontinue ALL topicals and apply a 1% hydrocortisone cream (available over the counter) or Obagi NuDerm Tolereen which contains a 1% hydrocortisone. Call us for further advice.
