Obagi Rosaclear System is the only complete three-step system that incorporates a therapeutic prescription component as well as products that effectively reduce and minimize the visible redness and blotchiness associated with rosacea. Calming agents, such as licorice, aloe, lavender and sea whip are also used to soothe your skin while light-reflecting minerals balance your complexion.

REGIMEN

Step 1	AM	PM	How to apply
Obagi Rosaclear Gentle Cleanser	X	X	Wet face with lukewarm water. Dispense a dime size amount of Obagi Rosaclear Gentle Cleanser into the palm of your hand. Use fingers to gently massage cleanser over entire face. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry.

Note:  Patients with rosacea should not use rough washcloths, loofahs, brushes or sponges. Never pull, tug or scratch, treat your face kindly. Also be sure to let your face air dry before applying Step 2. 

Step 2	AM	PM	How to apply
Obagi Rosaclear Metronidazole Topical USP, 0.75%	X	X	Apply and rub in a thin film of Metronidazole Topical USP, 0.75%  with your fingertips to the affected areas as prescribed by your physician

 

Note:  This product treats the inflammatory papules/pustules of rosacea. Patients should let this medication soak in (5-10 minutes). Nursing mothers and women who are pregnant should consult their physician. Avoid contact with the eyes. 

Step 3	AM	PM	How to apply
Obagi Rosaclear Hydrating Complexion Corrector	X	X	Apply a pea size amount of Obagi Rosaclear Hydrating Complexion Corrector to your fingertips and apply evenly to your entire face

 

Note: Let dry.

Sun Protection	AM	PM	How to apply
Obagi Rosaclear Skin Balancing Sun Protection with SPF 30 (sold separately)	X		Apply a liberal amount of tinted UVA/UVB Obagi Rosaclear Skin Balancing Sun Protection to your entire face, reapply if necessary.

Note:  It is very important for rosacea patients to use a good, chemical free, UVA/UVB sun protection as sun exposure is one of the most common triggers for rosacea. This sunscreen is tinted to easily blend with your skin and further minimize redness.

Makeup:

It is o.k. to use makeup after applying sunscreen. Be sure to select a makeup without irritating or unnecessary ingredients such as oil, talc, dyes, preservatives or fragrance (these may be triggers). A great choice is Jane Iredale Minerals, the Skin Care Makeup. These bases act as foundation, concealer, powder and sunscreen all in one (an additional SPF 20). Beneficial ingredients in these products actually enhance the health of your skin. Jane Iredale Minerals is an excellent choice for rosacea patients.
