Studies Prove Obagi CLENZIderm MD Effective

A Proven Acne Treatment - Obagi CLENZIderm MD CLENZIderm MD Acne Therapeutic System is a new acne treatment program developed by Obagi Medical Products to address three primary causes of acne. CLENZIderm MD uses a new form of liquefied benzoyl peroxide, along with salicylic acid for deeper penetration of the hair follicle/sebaceous gland (pilosebaceous duct). Studies indicate that no other single acne treatment or combination therapy is proven to work on all three causes of acne: excess oil, acne-causing bacteria and clogged pores. 5 Studies Demonstrate Effectiveness of CLENZIderm MD Five clinical studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of CLENZIderm MD with uniform penetration, reduction of bacteria and rapid reduction of inflammatory lesions. Studies Show Better Acne Treatment, More Coverage, Less Inflammation The studies compared a variety of parameters comparing CLENZIderm MD to current available solutions of benzoyl peroxide. In one study, greater reduction of the acne bacterium (propionibacterium acnes or P. acnes) was demonstrated over the 16-day study. In another study, a single application of CLENZIderm MD demonstrated greater bactericidal activity again P. acnes during the 72-hour study, compared with two currently marketed benzoyl peroxide products. Both of these studies were “split face” trials, randomly dividing 24 subjects into a control group, using an available preparation of benzoyl peroxide on one side of the face and CLENZIderm MD on the other side. Another study demonstrated better penetration of CLENZIderm MD than other similar available products. It was shown that the smaller particle size of CLENZIderm MD is better able to penetrate the hair follicle than available products with larger particle size. Before and After Photographs

Easy-to-Use Acne Treatment System with Obagi Product CLENZIderm MD Acne Therapeutic System is an easy-to-use, highly effective acne system achieving superior patient results. Each step in the CLENZIderm MD Acne Therapeutic System is designed to complement one another. The Daily Care Foaming Cleanser is used to first remove excess sebum from the skin. The Pore Therapy acts as an exfoliator and removes dead skin cells, priming the skin for the application of the benzoyl peroxide (BPO). Lastly, the Serum Gel, containing the Soluzyl Technology and BPO, accelerates follicular penetration by delivering medication deep into the pores. Advisory: Products containing salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide should not be used when contemplating pregnancy or when pregnant or nursing. Possible Adverse Reactions with this Obagi Product Some people may be sensitive to products containing these salicylic acid and/or benzoyl peroxide. We recommend that you do not use any other skincare products with this acne system unless directed by your physician. We also recommend that you start on this system slowly by applying small amounts of each product on your forearm and checking for adverse reactions in 24 hours before using these products on your face or other areas for acne. Minor redness is acceptable, however, itching, blistering or excessive inflammation would be reasons to avoid these products.
